Judith Duprê on Nevelson Chapel and New York City: the 1970s and Today

3:00 — 3:30

Architectural historian Judith Dupré will speak about the genesis of Citigroup Center and the significance of Nevelson Chapel at the heart of this landmark. The author of "Skyscrapers," "One World Trade Center," "Churches" and other volumes, Dupré has extensive knowledge of Nevelson and Nevelson Chapel. She will offer a brief lecture followed by question and answer.

Docents will be available for guided tours of Nevelson Chapel at 2:00, 2:30, 3:30 and 4:00. Limited to 25 persons each due to size and fragility of the installation.

Nevelson Chapel and select other areas of Saint Peter's Church will be open for self-guided exploration/tours all day.

Following Open House NY, Nevelson Chapel will close for restoration. It will re-open sometime mid to late 2019.
