Join us in person for a conversation between Curator Jenny Mushkin Goldman, Pastor Jared R. Stahler, and artists from the exhibition Life, Death, Hereafter, currently on view at Saint Peter’s Church.
The pandemic, compounded by the Russian attack on Ukraine, has caused a collective confrontation with mortality and loss unlike anything in recent history. This group exhibition addresses the entirety of the life cycle and delves into the promise of the everlasting. Individual works deal with themes of death, regeneration, and the hereafter.
Given that we all have experience with or wonderings on these themes, the conversation will be part panel and part talk-back in format. Participants are encouraged to come early or stay briefly afterward to reflect within Nevelson Chapel and the “oasis of silence” it provides.
This event will be recorded, but not live-streamed. It will be made available at a later date. By participating in person, you consent to be filmed and/or photographed for this purpose.
